I so appreciate every guest who visits my blog . I'm honored that you take time from your busy life to look at my work . It has come to my attention that a number of my images have been copied . 43 in the last 7 days !!! I'm asking who ever is copying my work to please stop. I work hard to create my work and would appreciate you respect . Unfortunately as a result I'm looking into watermarking all future posts .
Sincerely ,
Judith M Anderson

about me

My name is Judith Anderson. I was born in Brooklyn New York in 1956. Growing up my family lived in and around the Metropolitan area of New York City. As a result I had the opportunity to view and experience art from a young age, including school field trips to the Metropolitan Museum of Art .

From grade school thought junior high and high school art was always present in my studies and was a growing passion. When I entered my sophomore year of high school my family moved to West Palm Beach Florida. During my junior and senior years of high school I was involved in a technical high school program for commercial artists and attended Saturday art classes at The Institute of Art in Fort Lauderdale Florida. After graduation I attended Palm Beach Junior College for one year where I studied Fine Arts.

Another family move in 1976 brought us to Minneapolis Minnesota. I

hoped to attend art school but a lack of funding kept it from my reach. I chose to pursue a cosmetology license and worked as a hairdresser for 23 years. During that time I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and two great children.

While working and raising a family I continued to study by taking classes at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the University of Minnesota in the Fine Art Department.

After retiring from hairdressing in 2000 I decide to seek out art training that would give me the foundation I needed to create the quality of art I had always desired .My training at the Edina Art Center and the extremely talented artists and instructors helped me piece together my loosely woven art education.

My life’s path has led me back to art at every turn and the desire to create art has always remained strong. As a result I am committed to continue my studies in art, to always learn from those I admire and respect, and in that way hope to continually improve as a person and an artist.
