Hassan Farmstead

I had planned to meet a friend to paint, but the forecast overcast and cool ( for May 19) kept my friend indoors.I almost didn't go out to paint. Than I remembered a place I've wanted to paint for a long time. The remains of an old farmstead north of the Twin Cities in Hassan Minnesota. I was dressed for fall weather even though the calander said May 19,2017. Glad I did , painted 2/12 hour gotvery cold. The wind picked up blew the easel  over twice ..I knew it was time to go.
Today's effort.

Rambling Rose and crab apple tree

With rain in the forecast this morning I chose to stay home and paint in the backyard. The crabapples are in bloom in the blossoms fade quickly.

Apple Trees at Parley Lake

Today was a 10 for weather sunny, light winds and no mosquitoes. I headed out to Parley Lake  to paint the apple trees. I was very lucky they were in full bloom. Glorious morning to be a painting.
