The Pond at Ames Crossing
The Pond at Ames Crossing
8" x 10"
Oil on linen panel
Over the last month I have been involved with a painting challenge 30 painting in 30 days all Plein Air.
The painters who participated ,shared their paintings to Strada easel on Face Book every day in September are entered into a drawing to win one of 5 new Strada Easels.
The paintings didnt have to be finished but did need to have a goal for growth as a painter.
I had several different goals.
Over the last nine months I haven't painted as much as I would usually.
My first goal was to paint more frequently.
My second goal was to identify my subject and achieve my laying in a timely manner so that I could move through the painting more efficiently.
My third goal was to stay with my original intention what made me want to paint the painting in the first place.
I feel I've learned a great deal over month. I hope to win the easel. But if I don't I have won as a painter just by doing this process.
It has help move me forward in my work.
